Seven MBTA Employees, Conspiracy, Massachusetts 2024
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - On June 2024, six former Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) employees and one current MBTA employee were charged in a Superseding Indictment for multiple conspiracies.
According to the Department of Justice, the defendants allegedly conspired to falsify Red Line track inspection reports. This conspiracy allegedly allowed the defendants to collect fraudulent overtime payments.
The defendants were charged with various crimes, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit false statements.
