Buffalo Woman Entangled in Fentanyl Conspiracy

A 33-year-old Buffalo woman has pleaded guilty to a serious crime, as reported by the Grimy Times. Sherylrica Quisenberry is facing a charge of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank T. Pimentel, the defendant conspired with co-defendant Fannie Long to distribute controlled substances between May 7, 2013, and September 26, 2013.

While Long was incarcerated, Quisenberry filled a fentanyl prescription for Long and then sold the fentanyl patches to a third party at Long's direction. Furthermore, Quisenberry made a medical appointment for Long, which allowed Long to obtain more fentanyl patches upon her release.

This is not the first time the defendant has been involved in illicit activities. On other occasions, Quisenberry sold hydrocodone pills, alprazolam pills, methodone pills, and crack cocaine to other individuals.

Fannie Long, Quisenberry's co-defendant, was previously convicted and sentenced to 96 months in prison for her role in the conspiracy.

This plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Office.

Sentencing for Sherylrica Quisenberry is scheduled for March 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
