NEBRASKA - Norfolk Woman Sentenced to 92 Months in Prison for Methamphetamine Possession

In a significant blow to the opioid epidemic, Sonia K. Frear, 48, of Norfolk, Nebraska, was sentenced to 92 months in prison by Senior United States District Court Judge Laurie Smith Camp for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, law enforcement conducted a probation check on Frear on April 17, 2018, and found 42 grams of methamphetamine on her person. Additionally, a safe in her residence contained 280 grams of methamphetamine.

Frear admitted to her involvement in distributing methamphetamine, which led to the federal charges. The Nebraska State Patrol and the SNARE Drug Task Force were the investigating agencies.
