A Plano, Texas man is facing prison time after pleading guilty to transmitting a threatening communication in Oklahoma.
Stanley Colin Moldenhauer, 39, entered a guilty plea to Transmitting a Threatening Communication in Interstate Commerce in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 875(c), which carries a sentence of not more than 5 years imprisonment, a fine up to $100,000.00, or both.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation after Moldenhauer allegedly made a threatening communication on May 4, 2019, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere.
Moldenhauer's plea was accepted by the Honorable Steven P. Shreder, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, who ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
Assistant United States Attorney Sarah McAmis represented the United States in the case.
Moldenhauer is currently awaiting sentencing and faces up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $100,000.00.
