Gurule Sentenced for Robbing Espanola Bank

A Rio Arriba County man was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for his role in robbing a bank in Espanola, New Mexico, in September 2013.

On September 27, 2013, Stephen R. Gurule, 35, of Hernandez, New Mexico, slid a note, written on the back of a check, to the teller at the Community Bank, located at 411 Carr Lane in Espanola, demanding money and referencing a 'bomb.'
