Steven Roshee Powell, Child Sex Trafficking, Alabama 2025

A federal grand jury has indicted Steven Roshee Powell, 35, also known as ‘Champ G,’ for child-exploitation charges in Birmingham, Alabama.

The indictment, which contains two counts, charges Powell with sex trafficking of children and attempted sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. The incidents occurred between October 2, 2025, and October 29, 2025, in Jefferson County, Alabama.

If convicted, Powell could face severe consequences for his alleged actions. The case is being prosecuted as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the federal government in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
