Tamika Davis, Heroin Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2014
A Monroe County woman has been found guilty of participating in a heroin trafficking conspiracy in the area.
Tamika Davis, 33, of Effort, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty on December 17, 2014 before Senior U.S. District Court Judge A. Richard Caputo to conspiring with others to distribute heroin in the Monroe County area between November 2013 and April 22, 2014.
According to United States Attorney Peter Smith, Davis admitted to committing the crime during the six-month period.
Davis was charged in a criminal Information filed by the United States Attorney on August 15, 2014, following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police.
The 33-year-old woman faces a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Francis P. Sempa.
A sentencing date has been scheduled for December 17, 2014, however, no sentence has been handed down yet.
