A federal judge in the Middle District of Alabama has sentenced Tavon D. Brown, 30, of Augusta, Georgia, to 33 months in prison for his role in a pharmacy burglary and the possession of stolen firearms.
According to court documents, on April 12, 2022, Brown and others broke into a pharmacy in Montgomery, Alabama, and stole prescription medications and firearms. The stolen firearms were later recovered in Georgia.
Brown was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit burglary and one count of possession of stolen firearms. He pleaded guilty to both charges on September 22, 2023.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Montgomery Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David Estes.
