PCP Trafficking Lands New York Man Behind Bars

Taylor Overton Foster, 28, of White Plains, N.Y., has been sentenced to 46 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for his conviction on a phencyclidine (PCP) trafficking offense.

The DEA arrested Foster on February 8, 2017, after seizing approximately 508.9 grams (1.12 pounds) of PCP from him during an interdiction investigation at the Amtrak Train Station in Albuquerque.

The investigation was sparked when a DEA agent discovered the PCP in a leaking bottle inside Foster’s backpack. Foster admitted to transporting the PCP to Albuquerque on the Amtrak train on the same day.

Foster was initially charged by criminal complaint with possessing PCP with intent to distribute on February 8, 2017, in Bernalillo County, N.M. He was subsequently indicted on February 28, 2017, on the same charge.

On July 14, 2017, Foster pled guilty to a felony information charging him with possession of PCP with intent to distribute. This guilty plea marked the end of Foster’s fight against the charges.

This case was investigated by the DEA Albuquerque District Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Eva Fontanez prosecuted the case, bringing Foster to justice for his role in the PCP trafficking ring.

Foster’s sentence is a testament to the DEA’s commitment to keeping New Mexico’s streets safe from the scourge of PCP trafficking. As Foster begins his 46-month prison stint, the community can rest a little easier knowing that he will no longer be able to peddle his poison.
