Terrance Fisher, Heroin Trafficking, North Carolina 2019
NEW BERN, N.C. - In a recent federal court case, Terrance Fisher, a 29-year-old Wilmington gang member, has been sentenced to 112 months in prison for his involvement in a large-scale heroin trafficking operation.
According to court documents, on February 19, 2019, Fisher was involved in a controlled purchase of heroin in the area of Market Street in Wilmington, which was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Safe Street Task Force and the Wilmington Police Department's Narcotics and Gang Units.
The following day, February 20, 2019, the FBI Task Force and Wilmington Police Detectives conducted a search of a room at the Suburban Extended Stay in Wilmington associated with Fisher, where they discovered a quantity of heroin. Fisher was not present at the time of the search, as he was visiting his North Carolina State Probation Officer.
Fisher's involvement in the heroin trafficking operation was part of a larger investigation, known as OCDETF Operation Tiny Toon Adventure. The investigation targeted a gang responsible for importing and distributing large quantities of heroin into Wilmington.
The investigation was a joint effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Safe Street Task Force, the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, and the Wilmington Police Department's Gang Unit. Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy Severo prosecuted the case.
U.S. Attorney Robert J. Higdon, Jr. for the Eastern District of North Carolina made the announcement after sentencing by U.S. District Judge Louise W. Flanagan.
The case is part of OCDETF Operation Tiny Toon Adventure, which focuses on a gang that has been involved in the distribution of large quantities of heroin into Eastern North Carolina.

Criminal Charges: Conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute a quantity of heroin, distribution of a quantity of heroin and possession with intent to distribute a quantity of heroin.
