Terrance May, Drug Conspiracy, Ohio 2023
Youngstown, Ohio - A notorious figure in the Youngstown area's dark underworld has been brought to justice. Terrance May, 48, was sentenced to 175 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Benita Y. Pearson today in Cleveland.
May was ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release following his imprisonment and pay a $2,400 special assessment.
According to court documents and records, May led a drug conspiracy in the Youngstown area that distributed fentanyl, cocaine, cocaine base, and heroin from February 2020 until January of 2022.
Investigators used a wiretap to intercept drug communications from May and other co-conspirators that led to search warrants being executed, resulting in seizures of illegal drugs.
The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Youngstown, the Youngstown Police Department, the Boardman Police Department, the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, and the Campbell Police Department.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason M. Katz, who successfully brought the case to a close.
May was charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs and distributing drugs, charges he later pleaded guilty to.
He will begin serving his 175-month prison sentence immediately, with a supervised release to follow.
