Terrell Hickerson, Crack Cocaine Distribution, Pennsylvania 2014

A Harrisburg man has been sentenced to 139 months in prison for his role in distributing crack cocaine in the city. Terrell Hickerson, 35, of Harrisburg, pleaded guilty in August 2014 to distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, as early as the fall of 2012, Hickerson began selling crack cocaine in the Harrisburg area. This conviction represents Hickerson's third drug trafficking conviction; he was most recently released in September 2011 after serving a 97 month term of imprisonment for conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

Hickerson was sentenced by United States District Court Judge John E. Jones. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Capital City Safe Streets Task Force, the Harrisburg Bureau of Police, the Hampden Township Police Department and the Dauphin County Drug Task Force. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daryl F. Bloom.

The investigation revealed that Hickerson had been actively selling crack cocaine in the Harrisburg area for several years, resulting in his third conviction for drug trafficking. Despite his previous convictions, Hickerson continued to engage in drug trafficking, putting the community at risk.
