Cincinnati Man Sentenced to 8+ Years in Prison for Cocaine Distribution

A Cincinnati man has been sentenced to 99 months in prison for his role in a cocaine distribution ring.

Terrell Kirkland, 40, was found guilty of conspiring to possess with the intent distribute cocaine. According to court documents, Kirkland brokered drug transactions at a house on Vine Street in Cincinnati.

Kirkland would meet customers at a separate location and then bring them to the residence, where the transactions would take place. In exchange for his services, Kirkland received a cut of the profits.

In April 2024, law enforcement made two controlled purchases of cocaine at the residence, which led to Kirkland's indictment by a federal grand jury in May 2024. Kirkland pleaded guilty in January and is currently awaiting sentencing for his co-defendant, Ricky Cannon, 37, who also pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing.

U.S. District Court Judge Matthew W. McFarland imposed the sentence on Kirkland. Assistant United States Attorney Ryan A. Keefe represented the United States in this case.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF), Columbus Field Division. Kelly A. Norris, Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, and Thomas A. Greco, Acting Special Agent in Charge, ATF, announced the sentence.
