Terrell Sivells, Racketeering, Maryland 2018

A Baltimore man has been sentenced to life in prison for his role in a racketeering conspiracy that included eight murders and drug trafficking.

Terrell Sivells, 38, was convicted on October 31, 2018, for his role in the conspiracy, which also involved his brother Montana Barronette and other members of the Trained To Go (TTG) gang.

The gang operated in the Sandtown neighborhood of West Baltimore and was one of the most violent gangs in the city.

Sivells was sentenced to life in prison for his crimes, which included eight murders, drug distribution, armed robbery, and witness intimidation.

The investigation and prosecution of Sivells and his fellow gang members was a collaborative effort between the Baltimore City Police Department, the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the FBI, ATF, and DEA, along with prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.

These cases are a testament to the extraordinary work done by law enforcement officers and agents in Maryland, who risk their lives every day to protect our communities.

During National Police Week, we pay tribute to police officers who have died in the line of duty and give thanks to officers who faithfully protect and serve.

According to the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund, the names of 158 officers killed in the line of duty in 2018 will be engraved on the wall of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC.

Two Maryland officers will be added to the Memorial this year: Sergeant Mujahid Abdul Mumin Ramzziddin of the Prince George's County Police Department and Police Officer Amy Sorrells Caprio of the Baltimore County Police Department.
