Texarkana Man Sentenced for Methamphetamine Distribution
TEXARKANA - On August 11, 2021, Terry Duran Martin, 40, sold more than 50 grams of pure methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the Bi-State Narcotics Task force and the FBI in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Martin, a repeat offender, had recently completed a term of post-prison supervision stemming from a 2013 federal cocaine trafficking conviction.
According to court records, Martin was indicted by the United States Grand Jury in connection with the August 11, 2021, methamphetamine transaction, and later pleaded guilty to that offense on December 12, 2024.
On May 25, 2023, The Honorable Chief Judge Susan O. Hickey presided over the sentencing hearing in the United States District Court at Texarkana, where Martin was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
The Bi-State Narcotics Task Force and the FBI investigated the case, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Graham Jones prosecuted the case.
U.S. Attorney David Clay Fowlkes made the announcement.
