Timothy Gregory, Firearms Trafficking, Connecticut 2025
A former New Mexico resident has been sentenced to prison for trafficking firearms into Connecticut.
On May 2024, a Glock 42 .380 caliber pistol and three magazines were shipped to Connecticut in a parcel. Just a month later, in June 2024, a .223 caliber AR15-style rifle and two empty 30-round magazines were mailed to Connecticut.
The individual who received these shipments was prohibited from possessing firearms, and the investigation revealed that Timothy Gregory, 43, of Questa, New Mexico, had offered to sell and ship the firearms.
Gregory was arrested on July 18, 2024. He pleaded guilty to firearms trafficking on June 5, 2025, and has been detained since his arrest.
This matter was investigated by the FBI New Haven Safe Streets Gang Task Force, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
The Task Force includes members from the FBI, the Connecticut State Police, the Connecticut Department of Correction, and the New Haven, Milford, East Haven, West Haven, and Wallingford Police Departments.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie T. Levick. Gregory has been sentenced to 21 months of imprisonment and three years of supervised release for the crime.
