BILLINGS, Mont. - In a sudden shift in leadership, Timothy J. Racicot is now the Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana following the departure of former U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich.
As Acting U.S. Attorney, Racicot assumes the role of chief federal law enforcement official in the state of Montana.
Racicot is a career prosecutor with a long history of public service. He became an Assistant U.S. Attorney in October 2005 and served as the First Assistant U.S. Attorney since August 2022.
