A 44-year-old Pace, Florida, resident and registered sex offender, Timothy S. Faircloth, has been sentenced to 180 months in prison for receipt of child pornography.

The sentence was handed down yesterday by the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Florida.

According to court documents, Timothy S. Faircloth, a 44-year-old resident of Pace, Florida, was sentenced to 180 months in prison for receipt of child pornography.

The charges against Timothy S. Faircloth stem from an online investigation conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations.

During the investigation, federal agents discovered that Timothy S. Faircloth received or attempted to receive child pornography images and videos on 40 occasions between March 8, 2014, and January 27, 2015.

A forensic review of Timothy S. Faircloth's desktop and laptop computers revealed approximately 30 child pornography images, including images of children under the age of 12.

The case against Timothy S. Faircloth was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jeffrey Tharp.
