Tina Hart, Unlawful Use of Communication Facility, West Virginia 2019

A 40-year-old woman from West Virginia has been sentenced for her role in a drug-related crime.

Tina Hart, of Glenville, West Virginia, was sentenced to two years probation for one count of 'Unlawful Use of Communication Facility' in February 2019. This charge stems from Hart's admission to using a phone to distribute a controlled substance in April 2018 in Monongalia County.

The investigation into Hart's activities was a collaborative effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative. The United States Marshal Service also assisted in the investigation, which was funded in part by the federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program (OCDETF).

Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case.

Hart's sentence marks the culmination of a lengthy investigation into her activities. The case serves as a reminder of the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing drug-related crimes.
