Stalking Duo Sentenced in McAlester

A disturbing case of stalking shook the streets of McAlester, Oklahoma. Toni Shnea Fourkiller, 31, and Richard Rockey Blackman, 32, both residents of McAlester, were found guilty of violating Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2261A(1), 2261 and 2. The charge arose from an investigation by the McAlester Police Department.

According to court documents, Fourkiller and Blackman were indicted in September 2014 and pleaded guilty in October of the same year. The indictment alleged that on or about March 23, 2014, the defendants left Indian country with the intent to injure, harass, intimidate, and place under surveillance with intent to injure, harass, or intimidate another person.

U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the sentencing hearing in Muskogee. Fourkiller was sentenced to 43 months imprisonment and 3 years supervised release, while Blackman received a harsher sentence of 65 months imprisonment and 3 years supervised release. The court also ordered the defendants to pay restitution in the amount of $31,652.86.

The case highlights the devastating effects of stalking on its victims. 'Stalking is a serious crime that causes significant emotional distress and fear for one's safety,' said Assistant U.S. Attorney Chris Wilson. 'We will continue to work tirelessly to bring stalkers to justice.'

The defendants were remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service pending transportation to the designated prison where they will serve their non-parolable sentences. This case serves as a reminder that stalking will not be tolerated in our communities. We must stand together to support victims of stalking and bring perpetrators to justice.
