Tonya Settlemyer, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2024

A Duncansville woman has been sentenced to 30 months in prison after being convicted of violating federal narcotics laws related to a six-month Title III wiretap investigation into drug trafficking in and around Blair, Cambria, Centre, and Clearfield counties.

Tonya Settlemyer, 40, was sentenced by United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines on [sentencing date] in federal court in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

According to information presented to the Court, Settlemyer assisted Jason Lynn, the leader of an Altoona-based drug trafficking organization who distributed large quantities of methamphetamine to various individuals throughout the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.

Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti commended the Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Postal Service—Office of Inspector General, United States Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations, Internal Revenue Service, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, and Pennsylvania State Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Settlemyer.

This prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation, which identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States.

Settlemyer will serve 30 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. The investigation was a collaborative effort between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
