Muskogee Man Faces Up to 40 Years in Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution Charges

A 21-year-old man from Muskogee, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. Torrell Dshaun Bogar, a/k/a 'T Real', entered the guilty plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The charges against Bogar allege that between August 4, 2018, and August 15, 2018, he knowingly and intentionally possessed with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.

Bogar faces a sentence of not less than 5 and not more than 40 years imprisonment, a fine up to $5,000,000.00, or both. The charges against him arose from a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office, and the Muskogee Police Department.

The investigation, coordinated by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force ('OCDETF') of the Eastern District of Oklahoma, involved many different agencies that are members of the DEA High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force ('HIDTA') and the FBI Safe Trails Task Force.

Torrell Dshaun Bogar, a/k/a 'T Real', is currently awaiting sentencing. The Honorable Steven P. Shreder, U.S. Magistrate Judge, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report. Assistant United States Attorney Rob Wallace represented the United States in the case.

The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the distribution of methamphetamine and other controlled substances in the region.
