240 Months in Prison for Gary Man's Marijuana Conspiracy
A Gary, Indiana man has been sentenced to 240 months in prison for his role in a massive marijuana conspiracy.
Tracy Lee White, age 47, was sentenced on February 1, 2013, in the United States District Court in Davenport, Iowa, for his involvement in a conspiracy to manufacture, distribute, and possess with intent to distribute at least 1,000 kilograms of marijuana.
According to court documents, White admitted to traveling to Colorado multiple times to meet with suppliers and others for the purpose of purchasing large quantities of marijuana. He would then transport the marijuana to Iowa and other locations with several other individuals.
The investigation into White's activities was conducted by the Clinton, Iowa, Police Department, the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
White was also ordered to pay a $20,000 fine and to serve five years of supervised release following his incarceration. He was also ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the crime victim fund.
The case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
