Tsvia Kol, Methamphetamine-Related Murder, Florida 2026
In a chilling case of drug-fueled violence, a Florida woman and a California man have been sentenced to a combined 46 years in prison for the 2022 murder of a Miami man. Tsvia Kol, 37, of Hallandale, Florida, and Jimmy Sanchez, 38, of Spring Valley, California, pleaded guilty to using a firearm to cause death and conspiring to distribute at least 500 grams of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, the duo believed that the victim had stolen a package containing approximately 11 pounds of methamphetamine, worth around $90,000 on the streets. However, in reality, the package had been seized by law enforcement. The victim's murder was a brutal consequence of this mistaken assumption.
Kol and Sanchez confronted the victim in a hotel room they had rented, and Kol provided Sanchez with a firearm. The 911 call made by the victim captured the sounds of a physical altercation and gunshots. Hotel security footage revealed the pair fleeing the property after the shooting, and the victim's body was not discovered until the next day.
Sanchez admitted to shooting and murdering the victim, while Kol confessed to being an accomplice. The case serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of the war on drugs and the lengths to which individuals will go to protect their illicit interests.
Kol was sentenced to 230 months in prison, while Sanchez received a 330-month sentence. The harsh penalties reflect the gravity of their crimes and the need for accountability in cases of drug-related violence.
