A Huntington, Nebraska man, Tyler R. Nelson, was sentenced to prison for a federal drug crime and a supervised release violation, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, USAO District of Nebraska.

On May 21, 2024, Nelson was sentenced to 24 months in prison for violating the terms of his supervised release, which was imposed after he pleaded guilty to distributing marijuana, a Schedule I controlled substance.

According to the press release, Nelson's supervised release was revoked due to his failure to comply with the conditions of his release, including failing to report to his probation officer and failing to submit to a drug test.

The case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
