Philadelphia Man Charged with Tax Evasion
PHILADELPHIA - In a shocking turn of events, William Bucci, 57, of Philadelphia, PA, has been charged with four counts of making and subscribing false federal income tax returns.
According to the indictment, Bucci underreported his income for the tax years 2007 through 2010. The Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated this case, and it is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Ignall.
Under current laws, if convicted, Bucci faces a maximum possible sentence of 12 years in prison, a fine of up to $1 million, and up to three years of supervised release.
Bucci, a 57-year-old Philadelphia resident, is currently facing four counts of making and subscribing false federal income tax returns. His indictment alleges that he underreported his income for the tax years 2007 through 2010.
