Rapid City Man Found Guilty of Attempted Commercial Sex Trafficking of Children
A federal jury in Rapid City, South Dakota, has found Zam Lian Mung, 29, guilty of Attempted Commercial Sex Trafficking of Children. The conviction stems from a federal trial where evidence was presented that Mung responded to a prostitution advertisement on CityxGuide.com, which was posted by undercover agents with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
Evidence at trial established that on August 7, 2018, Mung responded to the advertisement and proceeded to negotiate with a person he believed to be associated with a 15-year-old girl, but who was in fact an undercover agent.
