
Crack Cocaine Distribution in East St. Louis Lands Local Man in Hot Water
East St. Louis, IL – DeAnthony Tillman, a twenty-seven year old East St. Louis, Illinois, man, has landed in trouble with the law after pleading guilty to distribution of cocaine base, in the form commonly known as ‘crack’ cocaine.
According to court proceedings, on June 27, 2013, Tillman sold two grams of cocaine base in the form of ‘crack’ cocaine to a confidential informant in East St. Louis, Illinois, at the direction and arrangement of ATF agents.
Tillman, who is scheduled to be sentenced on March 7, 2014, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,000, not more than 3 years of supervised release after his prison term, and a mandatory special assessment of $100.
This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and is prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel T. Kapsak.
