Mass. Church Arson Suspects Nabbed in Civil Rights Crackdown!

Arsonists strike again! Three suspects were nabbed early today in Springfield’s Macedonia Church of God in Christ fire, a chilling act of racial hatred.

Benjamin Haskell, Michael Jacques, and Thomas Gleason face up to a decade behind bars if convicted, in what officials are calling a civil rights violation.

The Nov. 5, 2008, blaze torched the church, a beacon for the African American community, with investigators pinning the fire as incendiary. The suspects have been charged with conspiring to intimidate parishioners.

U.S. Attorney Sullivan slams racism’s impact: ‘No tolerance here; these perpetrators will face severe justice.’ District Attorney Bennett adds, ‘This is a painful reminder of what happens when hate prevails. We are resolved to bring them to account.’

The DOJ’s unwavering stance on civil rights laws stands tall, as the investigation and prosecution team works tirelessly to see justice served.
