Brandon Jevar Pittman Pleads Guilty to Meth Distribution

BRANDON JEVAR PITTMAN, a 32-year-old from Calhoun City, Mississippi, has entered a guilty plea in federal court for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. The charge stems from an investigation led by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Pittman was indicted in June 2014, accused of knowingly possessing and intending to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine within the Eastern District of Oklahoma on March 6, 2014. The substance was classified as a Schedule II Controlled Substance under Title 21, United States Code.

The Honorable Steven P. Shreder, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, accepted Pittman’s guilty plea and has ordered the completion of a presentence report. The statutory punishment range for this offense is not less than 5 years and not more than 40 years imprisonment, along with a fine up to $5,000,000.00.

Assistant United States Attorney Kyle Waters represented the United States in the case against Pittman. The investigation that led to Pittman’s indictment began over five years ago, highlighting the persistence of law enforcement agencies in tackling such serious offenses.

This conviction is a significant win for Oklahoma and the federal government, as it sends a strong message about the consequences faced by those who engage in drug trafficking activities. The case serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against methamphetamine distribution across the nation.

Pittman’s sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place at a later date, where his fate will be determined based on the presentence report and other relevant factors.
