Grimy Times Exclusive: A ruthless Houston man has admitted his role in a brazen bank heist in Beaumont, Texas. Christopher M. Carmon Thomas, 23, pleaded guilty to the armed robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank on June 3, 2014. The thug entered the Gladys Avenue branch with a demand note and a gun tucked into his pants, making off with $2,309 before fleeing.

Thomas’s face was splashed across media after surveillance footage was released, leading to his swift identification by tipsters and the bank teller who witnessed the crime. He was captured in Houston on June 25, 2014, just over three weeks later.

Today, Thomas is staring down a federal prison sentence of up to 20 years for his violent crime. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled by U.S. Magistrate Judge Zack Hawthorn.
