MOBILE, AL – In a shocking turn of events, a Guatemalan national has been sentenced for illegally reentering the United States after previously being deported. Nicolas Joaquin Celestino-Gonzalez, 34, was arrested by the Saraland Police Department during a traffic stop on March 23, 2025.

According to court documents, Celestino-Gonzalez had previously been removed from the United States in 2018 and 2019. The U.S. Border Patrol was notified of his arrest and determined that he had indeed reentered the country illegally.
