Brandon Williams Guilty of Sex Trafficking

Brandon Williams, also known as ’14K,’ 35, of Bridgeport, has pleaded guilty to one count of sex trafficking of a minor. This shocking crime has left the community reeling, and Williams’ guilty plea is a step towards justice for the victim.

According to court documents and statements made in court, in July and August 2015, Williams caused a minor female, who he knew was under the age of 18, to engage in commercial sex acts. The minor victim’s sexual services were advertised on the internet websites Backpage and Cityvibe, and Williams rented hotel rooms in which he and the minor victim stayed.

The charge of sex trafficking of a minor carries a maximum term of imprisonment of life. A sentencing date is not yet scheduled. Williams has been detained since his arrest on related state charges on August 26, 2015.

This heinous crime was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations, with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Sarala V. Nagala and David E. Novick. Their tireless efforts have ensured that Williams will face the consequences of his actions.

Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced the guilty plea. The prosecution’s commitment to seeking justice for victims of sex trafficking is evident in this case. The fact that Williams pleaded guilty to the charges is a testament to the strength of the evidence against him.

The community can take some solace in the fact that Williams will no longer be able to prey on vulnerable individuals. However, the fact remains that sex trafficking is a pervasive problem that requires constant vigilance and action. It is essential that law enforcement agencies and the community continue to work together to prevent these crimes and support victims.

The guilty plea of Brandon Williams serves as a reminder of the importance of reporting suspicious activity and supporting victims of sex trafficking.
