MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – A ruthless judgment was delivered today as CODY LANE PAX, a 20-year-old resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, stood before the bench for his crime. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that PAX has been sentenced to serve 51 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for POSSESSION OF CERTAIN MATERIAL INVOLVING THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS.
The sentence was handed down by The Honorable James H. Payne, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, during a hearing held in Muskogee. PAX was found guilty of violating Title 18, United States Code, Sections 2252(a)(4)(B) and 2252(b)(2), after an investigation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
According to the Indictment, between November 2015 and March 9, 2016, PAX knowingly possessed, attempted to possess, and accessed with intent to view matters containing visual depictions that involved the sexual exploitation of minors. The production of these visual depictions included the use of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which were transported in interstate commerce by computer.
Assistant United States Attorney Edward Snow represented the United States during the hearing, ensuring justice was served for the victims of this heinous crime. As the court ruled, PAX’s actions are a stark reminder that such crimes will not be tolerated and will result in severe consequences.
The severity of the sentence reflects the gravity of PAX’s actions and sends a message to others considering engaging in similar criminal activities. The sentencing of CODY LANE PAX serves as a cautionary tale for those who would exploit children for their own gain, demonstrating that such behavior will lead to swift and severe punishment.
This case is another example of the FBI’s dedication to protecting our communities from predators. With this conviction and sentence, we can take comfort in knowing that justice has been served for the victims involved.
