Uxbridge Sex Offender Gets 10 Years

⏱ 3 min read

Scott Morrill, a 52-year-old registered sex offender from Uxbridge, Massachusetts, is going back to the federal pen – this time for a decade. Judge Margaret Guzman handed down the sentence in Worcester federal court on March 13, 2026, after Morrill pleaded guilty to stashing hundreds of images of child sexual abuse. It’s a familiar pattern for Morrill, who already did five years back in 2013 for the same filth.

The bust went down last April when Google’s filters flagged his account, alerting the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A search of Morrill’s home computer turned up even more CSAM, turning his digital world into a mountain of evidence. He was on supervised release from his previous conviction when he started building his illegal collection again, a clear sign he hadn’t learned a damn thing.

Federal prosecutors weren’t playing around. They pushed for a harsh sentence, reminding the court Morrill was a repeat offender and a continued threat. The 10-year stretch will be followed by another 15 years of supervised release, a long leash to try and keep him from falling back into the darkness.

The investigation was a joint effort, with Homeland Security Investigations and the Massachusetts State Police leading the charge, backed up by local Uxbridge PD. The case falls under “Project Safe Childhood,” a national program aimed at ripping these predators off the streets.
