Malachi Morgan Thomas, Sex Trafficking and Child Exploitation, Virginia 2026

BODY:

A Virginia man has been brought to justice for his heinous crimes against dozens of young girls. Malachi Morgan Thomas, 24, pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of children and possession of child sexual abuse material in a shocking case that has left many shaken.

According to court documents, between March 1, 2020, and October 1, 2020, Thomas used a Snapchat account, which he had previously hacked and stolen from a minor, to coerce at least 40 minor girls between the ages of 12 and 17 to engage in sexually explicit conduct. The victims were directed to create and send Thomas child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and ordered to engage in sexually explicit conduct during live video calls.

Thomas’s tactics were chilling, as he told victims he led a criminal organization and that as long as they did what he told them, they would be safe. To coerce compliance, Thomas made threats such as hacking the victims’ accounts or harming them and their family members. What’s even more disturbing is that Thomas was aware that several of his victims suffered from anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues, and that many had previously been victims of sexual abuse.

The case took a darker turn when Thomas flew to another state and traveled to a victim’s home, where he engaged in sex with the victim, which he recorded and saved in his Snapchat account. The police discovered the abuse and brought Thomas to justice.

Thomas’s guilty plea is a significant blow to his criminal organization, and it’s a testament to the bravery of the victims who came forward to share their stories. The case serves as a reminder that child exploitation is a serious crime that will not be tolerated.
