Red Ghost Pleads Guilty in $15M Pot Ring

ALBANY, NEW YORK – In a stunning admission of guilt, James Tyrell Daniels, known as ‘Red’ and ‘Ghost,’ along with Consanga Harris, alias ‘Sondy’, and Earnest Flood, alias ‘Pop’, have all pleaded guilty to charges related to their roles in a massive nationwide marijuana trafficking and money laundering operation.

United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman, alongside officials from the ATF, DEA, Troy Police Chief Daniel DeWolf, and Homeland Security Investigations, revealed the plea deals yesterday.

Daniels, Harris, and Flood confessed to being part of a syndicate that cultivated marijuana on an industrial scale in Fresno, California. They distributed thousands of kilograms of pot across the United States, including vital areas such as New York’s Capital Region.

According to the plea, Daniels was involved with Dwight A. Singletary II in running grow houses and a warehouse where over 424 marijuana plants were seized during a June 2022 raid. Daniels also sold THC ‘edibles’ and reaped profits from the operation.

The trio used Fast Pack & Ship, a shipping store in Fresno, to send packages laced with fake shippers’ names across the country. The business was owned by Sammy Olague, who sold it to Nehemiah Fane before transferring it to McKenzie Merrialice Coles. Daniels managed the operations under Fane’s ownership.

Harris admitted to receiving marijuana shipments and participating in the conspiracy. Daniels also confessed to laundering proceeds from the operation through various bank accounts, including those tied to his company BRDL, LLC.
