Torrington Predator Constanzo Sentenced to 25 Years for Sexual Exploitation of Minors

GRIM NEWS: Christopher Jesus Constanzo, 23, of Torrington, Connecticut, has been sentenced to 300 months in federal prison for the Sexual Exploitation of Minors. The Torrington predator’s grotesque crimes included kidnapping and sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl, enticement and sexual assault of another 16-year-old, and the production of child pornography involving a 17-year-old.

Constanzo met the first victim at Stillwater Pond State Park in Torrington, then coerced her into a cross-border crime. He forced her into his car’s trunk, sexually assaulted her, and drove towards Canada. Their entry was denied; Constanzo was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

In another July 2021 incident, Constanzo used SnapChat to coerce a 16-year-old girl to an abandoned warehouse in Torrington, where he sexually assaulted her at knifepoint. He also recorded sexually explicit videos of a 17-year-old girl using Facetime.

Constanzo pleaded guilty on February 22, 2025, admitting his conduct against all three victims. State charges are pending. The investigation and prosecution were led by Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Vermont State Police, Chittenden County Sheriff’s Office, and Torrington Police Department.

The case is part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood Initiative. More information about this initiative can be found at www.justice.gov/psc. To report cases of child exploitation, please visit www.cybertipline.com.
