Buffalo Felon Aden Ibrahim Held for Gun Possession

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Department of Justice has thrown the book at Aden Ibrahim, 29, after he was caught with a firearm in Buffalo. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Ibrahim is facing up to 15 years for being a felon in possession of ammunition.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy C. Lynch revealed that the law enforcement operation began on July 9, 2025, when police were called to a Woodette Place residence for an ‘Unwelcomed Guest.’ The occupants reported Ibrahim, known as ‘Beano,’ refusing to leave with crack cocaine and a firearm in tow.

When officers caught sight of ‘Beano’ attempting to flee, they apprehended him. A revolver was found on the floor, right where he had been staying. Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant, netting more drugs and paraphernalia.

Ibrahim has a rap sheet that includes convictions for felonies in 2022 and 2024, making his possession of ammunition illegal. He appeared before U.S. District Judge Michael J. Romer and was detained without bail.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, the DOJ’s comprehensive initiative to combat illegal immigration, dismantle cartels, and protect communities from violent crime. The Buffalo Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations conducted the investigation under the direction of Commissioner Alphonso Wright and Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan.

Remember, a charge is not proof of guilt. Ibrahim remains innocent until proven otherwise.
