Huntington, W.Va. — Adrian Demetrius Ludaway, also known as ‘A1,’ 35, from Wayne, Michigan, has entered a guilty plea for distributing fentanyl and a substance containing methamphetamine. According to court documents, on February 27, 2025, Ludaway sold approximately 28.5 grams of meth and 6.79 grams of fentanyl to an informant in Huntington.
Ludaway’s guilty plea acknowledges his role in the transaction and its prior arrangement. Scheduled for sentencing on December 1, 2025, he faces a stiff penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a $1 million fine.
The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston, who praised the efforts of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the Huntington Violent Crime and Drug Task Force in the investigation.
Presiding over the hearing was United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers, with Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie Taylor handling the prosecution. This case is part of Operation Synthetic Opioid Surge (SOS), a federal initiative aimed at reducing synthetic opioid availability in high-impact regions.
