Toddler Terror: White & Henderson Plead Guilty to Kidnapping

ST. LOUIS – A 2-year-old child became a pawn in a dangerous game of street justice when two men, driven by a thirst for retribution and stolen firearms, snatched her from her mother’s arms. Kendal “KD” White, 20, of St. Charles, and Cam’Ron Henderson, 20, of St. Louis, have both admitted to the brazen kidnapping, pleading guilty to one count of kidnapping in U.S. District Court.

The ordeal unfolded on August 10, 2023, when White and Henderson, believing the toddler’s father had pilfered guns and other possessions, embarked on a hunt that led them to the victim’s mother’s apartment in St. Louis County. Finding the door unanswered, they didn’t hesitate – they kicked it in, both armed and ready for confrontation. The intended target wasn’t home, but the pair refused to leave empty-handed.

According to court documents, White violently demanded the mother hand over her daughter. When she bravely refused, he repeatedly struck her in the head with his firearm before forcibly snatching the toddler. They then fled the scene with the child, leaving the mother to frantically call 911. The swift response triggered an Amber Alert, broadcasting a description of the Hyundai Elantra the kidnappers were using.

Facing mounting pressure from the Amber Alert and law enforcement, White attempted damage control. He reportedly paid three women to return the toddler to her uncle’s home, a desperate move to evade capture. However, the St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI quickly closed in, unraveling the plot and leading to the arrests of White and Henderson.

Both men now face a minimum sentence of 20 years in prison for their callous act. Henderson is scheduled to be sentenced on December 2, while White will appear before the judge on January 27. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Szczucinski is leading the prosecution, determined to deliver justice for the victim and her family.
