AKRON, Ohio – The gritty streets of Akron are witnessing a shake-down in the drug underworld as three local men face federal charges for orchestrating a major meth and fentanyl distribution ring. According to the latest from the U.S. Department of Justice, Erin House, 53, Ishmael Wahid, 52, and Roy Wimberly, 50, have been hit with an indictment detailing their alleged conspiracy to traffic drugs across Summit County and beyond.
House Brothers Trucking was no mere carrier; it was the vehicle for a sinister network. House and Wahid were said to be frequent communicators as they supplied Wimberly with the deadly wares of meth, cocaine, and fentanyl. It was during a high-speed chase on Interstate 71 that law enforcement hit paydirt—nearly 8 kilograms of blow and $144,000 in cold cash stuffed into House’s semi-truck. But that wasn’t all.
Wahid’s storage facility was equally loaded with drugs, turning up approximately 25 kilograms of meth, a kilo of coke, and five kilos of the killer fentanyl. Another traffic stop, another arrest: Wahid’s ride yielded more drugs, cash, and another $84,000. Wimberly’s Akron pad? A treasure trove of two kilos of meth, fentanyl pills, and an arsenal of guns that seemed to be as plentiful as the drugs.
Now these three are staring down a litany of charges including conspiracy, distribution, possession with intent to distribute, and possession of firearms. House is also nailed for cocaine possession, while Wahid’s rap sheet includes previous drug convictions. This operation isn’t just about drugs—it’s about power and profit, a high-stakes game where the stakes are life, death, and now, a federal cell.
