Career Criminal Convicted for D.C. Apartment Drug Drop & Gun Toss

⏱ 2 min read

Yesterday, Derrick ‘The Dropper’ Martin, 33, faced justice after the D.C. feds got a guilty verdict on multiple counts. Martin, an ex-con living in the nation’s capital, pulled a backpack full of drugs and heat from a window onto the street—right before the police arrived to serve him with a warrant. The jury didn’t waste any time, convicting him of the whole nine yards: big-time drug dealing, illegal gun possession, and being a menace with a record of 31 arrests. Martin’s sentencing is set for next July, where he’ll be staring down at least 15 years in the clink. The evidence was so bad that when cops came to serve the warrant, they found a loaded AK-47 look-alike, 700 grams of coke, and close to 6,000 fentanyl pills all within arm’s reach of a sleeping child. That’s a street life gone too far, folks.
