Bank Robber Caught in Clinton, Iowa

Clinton, IA – In a brazen daylight robbery, Shane Roger Hoiland, 21, allegedly stormed into the Clinton National Bank on February 25, 2013, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

According to federal authorities, Hoiland, a resident of Clinton, Iowa, has been charged with the bank robbery in a federal indictment returned by a grand jury on January 22, 2014. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Clinton Police Department.

Hoiland made his initial appearance in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 13, 2014. He is currently being held in custody pending the resolution of the case.
