Brandon Robinson, Methamphetamine Conspiracy, Texas 2018

BEAUMONT, Texas - Five Southeast Texans have been arrested in a methamphetamine conspiracy, announced U.S. Attorney Joseph D. Brown.

Brandon Robinson, 33, of Beaumont, Gedrick Morrissey, 27, of Beaumont, Roshawn Butler, 35, of Silsbee, Rudy Polanco, 44, of Groves, and Jeremy Ross, 35, of Port Neches, were arrested following a lengthy investigation into drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas.

The arrests were made on August 7, 2018, as the result of a joint investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Joint Narcotics Task Force. The defendants were named in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury on July 12, 2018, which alleged they were involved in a drug trafficking organization that conspired to distribute methamphetamine in Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange counties from March 2017 through December 2017.

The defendants are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine. If convicted, they face from 10 years to life in federal prison.

Brandon Robinson, 33, of Beaumont, is one of the five defendants arrested in the methamphetamine conspiracy. He is scheduled to make an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Keith F. Giblin on those charges today.

The case is being investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Joint Narcotics Task Force, and the Beaumont Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher T. Rapp is prosecuting the case.

An indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
