Eboni Siamone McMurray, Bank Robbery, Texas 2020

Published February 14, 2020

A brazen bank robbery shook the streets of Killeen, Texas, when 23-year-old Eboni Siamone McMurray allegedly stormed into the First National Bank Texas branch on East Central Texas Expressway, leaving a trail of fear and destruction in her wake.

According to federal authorities, McMurray, a Killeen resident, entered the bank on February 12, 2020, and approached a teller, demanding that she fill a bag with cash. In a chilling display of brazenness, McMurray pointed a firearm directly at the teller, giving her a five-second countdown to comply. The teller, understandably shaken, complied with the demand, handing over an estimated $2,500.

McMurray's audacious heist was short-lived, however, as investigators quickly identified her vehicle through video surveillance and tracked her down to her residence. FBI agents and Killeen Police officers, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, apprehended McMurray without incident.

The defendant now faces a serious charge of bank robbery, punishable by up to 25 years in federal prison upon conviction. McMurray remains in federal custody pending a detention hearing on Tuesday at 9:00 am before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Manske in Waco.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Greg Gloff is leading the prosecution on behalf of the government. The FBI and Killeen Police Department are jointly investigating this case, which serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of bank robberies and the importance of swift justice.

It's essential to note that a criminal complaint is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

In the meantime, the people of Killeen can rest a little easier knowing that justice is on the move. As this case unfolds, one thing is clear: Eboni Siamone McMurray will face the full force of the law for her alleged crimes.

The First National Bank Texas branch, located on East Central Texas Expressway, has been a staple in the community for years, providing essential financial services to residents. The brazen robbery is a stark reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement.
