WICHITA, KAN. – A Kansas man was sentenced to 121 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to crimes related child sexual abuse material (CSAM). According to court documents, Gavin Onuffer, 28, of Haysville pleaded guilty to one count of receipt of child pornography. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a cybertip concerning CSAM activity from an IP address connected to Onuffer’s home. While executing a search warrant on Onuffer’s cellphone, law enforcement found CSAM images depicting prepubescent girls subjected to sexual conduct. “People who take pleasure in viewing, creating, or distributing images of little children being sexually exploited are a danger to our society and belong behind bars,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser. “We ask the public that if you know someone who engages in this type of behavior to please make a report to law enforcement.” The Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and Wichita Police Department investigated the case.
