Neri Farid Ardon-Calix, Sex Assault of a Child, Texas 2023
A convicted Honduran sexual predator has been locked away for 21 months after being caught hiding in a railcar near Eagle Pass, Texas.
Neri Farid Ardon-Calix, 30, was previously deported from the U.S. in September 2023, following a conviction and two-year prison sentence for sexual assault of a child in Houston.
Ardon-Calix pleaded guilty on April 23, and U.S. District Judge Ernest Gonzalez sentenced him on September 11, remarking that Ardon-Calix was a danger to the community.
The U.S. Attorney Justin R. Simmons for the Western District of Texas made the announcement.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Daisy Gonzalez prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the federal government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
