Published January 29, 2015

Two California men, Ray Darnell Webb and Seagram Joshua Miller

pleaded guilty to felony sex trafficking crimes in Nevada for inducing and enticing two minor girls to travel from Oakland, California to Las Vegas, Nevada to work as prostitutes during April and May 2013.

The victims, a 12-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, were forced to work as prostitutes for the defendants and provided the money they made to them. The defendants also posted an advertisement on MyRedbook.com to attract clients when they arrived in Las Vegas.

The cases were investigated by the FBI and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, as part of the Innocence Lost Task Force.

The defendants, who were arrested and indicted in May 2013, pleaded guilty to one count of coercion and enticement and are scheduled to be sentenced on April 29, 2014 by U.S. District Judge Kent J. Dawson.

The defendants face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, and will have to register as sex offenders.

According to United States Attorney Daniel G. Bogden, the pimps who prey on children are predators and the government will work with law enforcement partners to ensure they are prosecuted.
