A Richardson man has been sentenced to federal prison for mail theft, a crime that has plagued communities across Texas.

Sir Darius Lamar Edmondson, 23, was found in possession of stolen mail on October 30, 2023.

On December 15, 2025, U.S. District Judge Sean D. Jordan sentenced Edmondson to 60 months in federal prison and ordered him to pay restitution of $3,391.31.

Edmondson pleaded guilty to possession of stolen mail, a federal violation.
